Our client, a leading logistics and transport company, are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their small team at their Glasgow depot. The role will be covering all areas of office support and maintenance with a view to progressing into more specific areas and responsibility after completing apprenticeship.
Normal daily duties are not limited to, but include:
Answering telephone enquiries
Booking in jobs on system
Updating database records
Liaising with drivers/customers on deliveries
Maintaining office equipment
Filing, photocopying, emails etc.
You will learn all the workings of a busy transport and logistics office, from the generic administrative duties involved, through to the logistical working of the company system. Whilst learning on the job you will also be working towards an SVQ level 3 in Business Administration which will give you the tools and techniques to grow within the business.
There are no set requirements for this post, the company are more interested in the attitude of applicants as they are looking for someone committed and who is ready to build a career. National 4's in Maths and English would be preferred, as well as general experience using computers.
