We are currently recruiting for a Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with one of the world's most prestigious and technologically advanced car manufacturers.
You will be working in a busy BMW/MINI workshop environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the BMW/MINI brand.
The course is unique to BMW with a special emphasis on electronics and cutting edge technology; your training will include the opportunity to work on the latest cars, engines and BMW diagnostic equipment, ultimately leading to the ability to undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on vehicles to the highest standards once fully qualified.
Applicants are required to have, or predicted to obtain, National 5s in English, Maths and ICT/Computing (or one other subject will be consdif the candidate did not take ICT).
English Equivalent - GCSE Grade A*-C or 9-4 in English, Maths and ICT (or one other subject if candidate did not take ICT) and Core Skills.
Core Skills are five skills that are key to learning and working in today's world. Employers have identified these skills as those most likely to be needed in a work environment. Not every job will need people who are proficient in all five Core Skills, but every job will require some level of ability in some or all of these skills.
Each Core Skill is available at levels 2 to 6 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
The five Core Skills are:
