The Role – what will you be doing?
The position available is for General Admin and being able to work alongside the Office Manager and Partnership Director, assisting them with all tasks. Taking on as much responsibility as possible. Learn all aspects of Record and Client papers

Location: Glasgow
Starting Salary: National Living wage
Key Responsibilities
• Man Reception & operate switchboard (when required)
• Deliver mail to Exchange each evening and post office (when required)
• Open mail and distribute (together with Front Office Staff)
• Deal with Mail enquiries
• Fold Mail/Circulars and prepare for posting
• Deliveries within city centre, trips to the Post Office Etc
• Prepare meeting rooms
• Filing, Photocopying, Scanning Etc
• Keep systems up to date and as accurate as possible.
• Learn Money Laundering procedures
• Learn all aspects of Archiving
• Help around the office with Clear-outs and Archiving

What will I learn?

Apprenticeship Programme:

The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future. Funding for training is available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on the framework) and for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the ages of 20-29. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you meet one of these criteria.

You will work towards the achievement of a nationally recognised Business Administration Diploma (SCQF 6). You will be supported throughout your apprentice journey by a dedicated GP Strategies Assessor

What qualification or qualities are required?

• Have good computer skills including Word and Outlook (PowerPoint and Excel would be helpful but not absolutely necessary)
• Typing speed at least 45-50 wpm, but will be expected to develop to a higher speed
• Good communication skills with the ability to liaise and work well with partners, fee earners, business support staff and other secretaries
• Demonstrate common sense and a methodical approach
• Have good presentation skills with an eye for detail
• Act professionally and be a representative for the firm
• Work with enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility
• Ideally candidates should have National 5 (or equivalent/demonstrable ability) in English
• A genuine desire to develop a career within a legal office
