Job Title: Media and Public Relations Modern Apprentice

What might a day in this job look like?
Working within our small team you will have the opportunity to get involved in campaigns and help us get our message out to members and stakeholders through our digital channels including our website and social media. You will also:
• Assist in answering telephone enquiries, handling sensitive information with absolute discretion.
• Make travel and accommodation arrangements.
• Monitor and update RCN Scotland social media accounts and support the delivery of social media plans
• Regularly update the RCN Scotland website and support the development of creative digital content
• Provide reception cover at lunch time and when required, greeting visitors, booking taxis and couriers, managing the in-coming and out-going mail.
• Provide administrative support for events, internally and externally.
• Assist with meeting room set up and break down, including clearing of catering.
• Provide support to the Director’s Executive Assistant
The hours of work are Monday 08.30-17.00; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 09.00-17.00; and Friday 09.00-4.30; although the post-holder will be required to work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the role.
You will develop a variety of skills including team work, communication and customer service skills.
SVQ Level 3 / SCQF Level 6 Digital Marketing
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team, providing administrative support to staff and RCN members at the RCN Scotland Edinburgh Office.
Minimum five Standard Grades (or equivalent) with at least 1 or 2 in English
