GP Strategies, are delighted to be work in partnership with our client in Cumbernauld. We are pleased to supporting our client with the recruitment and training of an Apprentice IT Service Desk Analyst.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young individuals, in the Lanarkshire and Glasgow area, who are passionate and enthusiastic about building a career within the IT and technology sector.

The Role

As an Apprentice IT Service Desk Analyst, you will be based at our client’s site in Cumbernauld, and you will be responsible for providing technical support across the whole organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing technical support and guidance to colleague and clients for the following technologies;

Mobile phones, Tablets, Laptops, TV’s, Projectors, PA System, Raspberry Pi
Good front of house skills, dealing with prestige customers
IT support dealing with patching network cables, phones , PC’s
Experience of Microsoft office and apple products desirable
Printers and scanners

What will I learn?


These is a full-time opportunities in which you will gain the chance to earn as you learn. The successful candidate will be fully supported through an IT Apprenticeship (Level 6) resulting in the achievement of an SVQ Diploma in IT & Telecoms as well as industry certifications from Microsoft.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement

You will be an enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual who is extremely interested in IT and Technology. You must be dedicated and committed to building a career for yourself within the IT support space.

The following skills and qualities would be desirable;

A talent for troubleshooting and problem solving
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical skills with a great attention to detail
A passion for delivering excellent customer service
A flair for multi-tasking in a high pressured environment

Full UK Driving Licence or desire to work towards achieving this would be great.
