The Graduate Apprentice Business Management role enables the development of a career whilst undertaking practical on the job training, gaining a degree in Business Management.

The Graduate Apprentice Business Management will be mentored and supported to work within the Evaluation and Research team contributing to the various in-house projects, commissioned work and supporting infrastructure to meet the needs of the team and its customers. Reporting to an Evaluation and Research Executive this role will form part of the wider Evaluation & Research team, assisting in budget tracking, software management, customer relationship management and project management and delivery.

The Graduate Apprentice Business Management will work on supporting the management of the team’s budget, tracking the team’s project delivery and upcoming and supporting the team in delivering a wide variety of evaluation and research work.

What will I learn?

The Graduate Apprenticeship in Business Management will support work within the Evaluation and Research team contributing to the various in-house projects, commissioned work and supporting infrastructure to meet the needs of the team and its customers. Reporting to an Evaluation and Research Executive this role will form part of the wider Evaluation & Research team, assisting in budget tracking, software management, customer relationship management and project management and delivery.

The successful candidate will gain experience in supporting the management of the team budgets, tracking the team’s project delivery and supporting the in delivering a wide variety of evaluation and research work.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement

To enter this programme at the start of Year 1 you must have either:
A minimum of two SQA Highers at Grade B (or equivalent) and two SQA Highers at Grade C (or equivalent) including Grade C in Maths and English, or
A Modern Apprenticeship at SVQ level 3, or
A Foundation Apprenticeship plus two SQA Highers at Grade C (or equivalent)

Entry to Year 2 may be possible if you have either:
three SQA Advanced Highers (or equivalent), or
an appropriate HNC (or equivalent), or
have successfully achieved 120 SCQF credits at SCQF level 7 (or equivalent)

In addition, you will have the following skills and attributes:
An interest in research and a basic understanding of research projects
A commitment to study and obtaining degree qualification
Good time management skills
Problem solving skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to plan and prioritise tasks
Willingness to learn and develop and contribute to team workload
The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider team
