The key duties of this role mainly center around dealing with customers both verbally and digitally to arrange collection and deliveries from customers using the company's fleet of LGS's, arranging air freight exports and imports for customers, completing a range of paperwork including customs-related documents and creating weekly business reports.
In this type of role, you can expect to learn how to effectively deal with a variety of logistics operations. This could include monitoring the receipt, storage or dispatch of goods, discovering how to co-ordinate international road transport operations and how to arrange the transportation of goods using multiple transport modes. You will also learn how to monitor the progression of the delivery of orders whilst making sure your actions are in line with health and safety rules and regulations, as well as how to communicate and work with a range of people from different countries and backgrounds.
You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement
