Job overview

Money Dashboard was founded in 2010 by a small team in Edinburgh, passionate about making the often-confusing world of personal finance more open, transparent and accessible for everyone. Money Dashboard evolved into an app named the UK's Best Personal Finance App 2017, 2018 and 2020 at The British Bank Awards.

The team today is still motivated by the mission to help all UK consumers get more happy and successful by empowering them to take control of their finances.

Money Dashboard looks to employ, train and mentor a suitably driven Technical apprentice within the Technical/Foundation Squad. This individual will work closely with the IT Security Manager in developing core technical and soft skills throughout the period of the apprenticeship. This is a wide reaching role allowing for ongoing growth, challenge and progress towards the targets of the individual. It is the aspiration that this role will develop towards an Information/Cyber Security focused position.

This is going to be a 3 year apprenticeship where the successful candidate will work towards completing an IT Professional SCQF Level 6 in year 1, SCQF Level 8 in year 2 and Cyber Security SCQF Level 8 in year 3.

The successful applicant will be joining a fast moving and dynamic growth Financial Technology team where every member of the team has a key position within the company. Money Dashboard look for a Modern Apprentice who has a passion for IT, Technology, Security and Learning.

You will be expected to present an eagerness to learn and challenge yourself and those around them. This role will see building of responsibility and as such an individual who is keen to take on responsibility with necessary support is welcomed. The role will see engagement with the company at all levels – this is a role to develop, learn and be challenged and as such is not a typical ‘odd job’ apprentice role.

What will I learn?

This list is not a minimum or maximum – it’s just where we would love you to start! If you can offer more, great! Can’t hit the above but can show passion and drive in other processes relating to IT/Security - equally great!

If successful, the individual would be supported in working in the following areas:

• General IT Support
• Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture
• Internal Penetration Testing
• Physical Networking and Upkeep
• Staff Training
• Documentation Delivery
• Technical Peer Reviews
• Security Process Reviews
• Technical Administration and Triage
