Job overview

Eildon Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord in the Scottish Borders. We are inviting applications for our Modern Apprenticeship (MA) in Business Administration within our Property Assets Team and you should be aged between 16-19 years, or under 29 if you are a disabled or care experienced applicant.

You will be employed on a fixed term contract for 2 years, working 35 hours per week and will work towards gaining an SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. As part of the Association’s commitment to the Modern Apprenticeship you will be given time to study during work time.

Working in our property services department, you will provide trainee level support to our Property Team providing administrative support and information services on a range of property matters including processing invoices, dealing with repair requests, managing relevant data and dealing with customers on a range of property related matters.

What will I learn?

You will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge of a wide range of housing management functions and develop a variety of administrative and customer service skills throughout your training. Working within a busy team environment will enable development of soft skills such as communication and team working.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You should have an interest in developing a career in Housing. You will need good Highers or a relevant SCQF Level 5 qualification. You should have a strong desire to learn and develop, be a team player with excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of Office365. Accuracy and attention to detail is important as are good time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
