Apply on company siteAs part of the team within Naval Ships you will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest engineering projects in the UK. We design, build, commission, repair and support a full range of complex naval ships from offshore patrol vessels through to aircraft carriers, giving customers the capability to carry out extensive naval operations.
You could be responsible for a range of electronic products and services throughout their entire lifecycle. One project may have you working with the latest technology available - creating inspired designs to be sure such innovation is used to its full potential, another may have you working on one of our shipyards to ensure existing technology is maintained correctly to guarantee its availability when urgent action is required
Supply Chain roles are set in a challenging, fast paced environment. These are ideally suited to people who enjoy using technical knowledge and people skills to solve real world problems and who are tenacious, resourceful whilst maintaining a cool head under pressure. The ability to see tasks through to completion and ensure all details are complete is advantageous. As much of the work involves liaising with other team members and people from other departments, the roles suit someone with good interpersonal and relationship management skills.
As well as spending time in the office, you’ll also get out and about visiting key stakeholders in other buildings and locations.
You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement
5x National 5s including English & Maths at grade C or above and 2x Highers including English at Grade C or above.
