We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our client, a local opticians, as an optical assistant. This will offer an immediate start for someone who is interested in a career in optics. The role will be to support the business on all front of house and client engagement areas, as well as maintaining records and IT systems.
As part of your introduction to the role you will learn how to support patients within the practice through all parts of their appointments. You will learn how to manage optical diaries, maintain optical records and support with sales of optical products. Along with gaining knowledge on all areas of health and safety, you will also be responsible for stock management and general customer service.
There are no set requirements for this role in terms of qualifications, however good IT skills are necessary for the main duties included. The team are looking for someone with good communication skills both over the phone and in person, as customer service is their number 1 focus. Above all, they are looking for someone who is keen to begin a career in optics, as this role can develop further once apprenticeship is completed on to more advanced roles within the practice.
