The Economic Development Directorate's work is vital to the realisation of the Scottish Government's core purpose - creating a more successful country, with opportunities for all to flourish through increased wellbeing, sustainable and inclusive economic growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated individual to join the directorate and support the work of a high profile policy team.
•To provide administrative support across the team on various projects demonstrating a consistent ability to create and present material in the most appropriate format. This will include spreadsheets, presentation slides and word documents.
•Organise team meetings effectively to ensure management of time, support in preparing any papers for meetings, prioritise effective diary requests and changes, manage logistics for meetings including taking notes and actions.
•To provide financial administrative support to the team, processing payments, using the internal budgeting system and electronic ordering and payment systems.
•Providing support to update relevant documents and ensuring documents are filed appropriately within the SG electronic record and document management system (eRDM)
•Working flexibly to support wider administrative duties and tasks during busy periods across the division.
Throughout the first 12 months the candidate will be expected to gain a relevant SVQ qualification in Business Administration. Support will be provided by a qualified assessor who will work with the successful candidate on a monthly basis. Time will be given to work on your qualification, this includes delivering 2 presentations.
