The IT Support Assistant, a key role within the Head Office function, is responsible for IT and phone system support, documentation, IT training and website development within our business. This will involve providing an internal ‘IT Helpdesk’ and being the ‘go to’ person to help resolve all and any IT or communication issues. This can encompass infrastructure, hardware, software, connectivity issues and issues with the company’s phone system.
The Successful candidate will be fully up to speed with all of the company’s IT software and hardware to be able to answer most queries. The Successful candidate will also keep up to date with developments and propose areas where the company could improve its use of the IT systems it uses to make efficiency or performance savings. The successful candidate will maintain the company’s IT asset register and help to keep the company’s IT secure by managing the joiner and leavers IT access, company password bank, and all software and heard ware access points.
The successful candidate will help to devise appropriate IT training plans for all roles within the company and grow and maintain a company ‘knowledge bank’ of information on how to solve IT issues and maintain the company IT operating processes and policies and review the policies on a regular basis to ensure they are up to date and still appropriate. With the assistance of the Head Office Manager, you will maintain the company’s Office 365 suite and sharepoint folder and filing system and ensure that company files are appropriately organised and the appropriate personnel have access to them. You will help the HO manager train staff in using the company’s Office 365 and sharepoint software.
With the assistance of the Group Sales & Customer Experience manager you will help to maintain and improve the company’s main website and develop ways to improve the company’s sales across the internet by application of good SEO policies and practices.
The successful candidate will also help to develop further the company’s IT resources by keeping up to date with It developments and advise on updates and developments which may help the company to achieve its growth goals..
