We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our small family run team. You will be expected to develop the children’s natural curiosity and encourage their interest through stimulating educational opportunities. Working with the Pre-Birth to Three Framework or Curriculum for Excellence you will develop a caring, supportive relationship with the children that will benefit their development at nursery. Working as part of the team you will provide a range of indoor and outdoor experiences for children giving them opportunities to learn through play.

What will I learn?

You will work toward the practitioner qualification - Social Services (Children and Young People) SVQ 3 at SCQF Level 7 which will take approximately 18 months. You will be supported in the workplace to learn all aspects of the role and in addition, will attend off the job training workshops on a monthly basis.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement

We are looking for someone with a passion for working with children. Good communication skills, an openness to learn, ability to work as part of a team but also as an individual are essential for the role. You must be an honest, reliable and enthusiastic person with a relaxed but professional manner. National 5 English is preferred as a minimum.
