Job overview

The Hub is looking for a childcare practitioner to work in our out of school care service, helping to provide a safe and nurturing environment and varied programme of activities for school aged children attending during term time and in our holiday club.

What will I learn?

You will learn a range of skills from working within a small team and communicating with colleagues and families to developing supportive relationships with children and contributing to planning and paperwork as well as taking on board the range of guidance which underpins the childcare sector and undertaking relevant training opportunities in addition to pursuing a childcare qualification.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement

Qualities required are commitment to the role and a genuine desire to work with children. Experience with children, even in an informal way, is desirable.
