Job overview

The post holder will work as part of a small Properties and Facilities team.
They will assist in rental and void management, property turn-arounds,
Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and perform related administrative

You will be aged 16-24yrs, (disabled or care experienced applicants up to the age of 29 are eligible to apply. Refer to the Equalities Act 2010.)

What will I learn?

This is a modern apprenticeship role. You will be required to complete an SCQF Level 5 qualification in Facilities Services, and after full training, you will carry out the following duties.

Assisting with property management, void management, rent collection and tenancy enforcement for all rock trust properties.

Undertake property turn-around activities, which will include cleaning and clearance.

Health & Safety duties, including ensuring compliance with fire risk/risk assessments for all rock trust properties.

Support of the facilities management of all rock trust properties, including head office, ensuring suppliers are communicated with and that work is to an acceptable standard.

General administrative duties, such as telephone and written communication with staff, tenants, partners, sponsors and other stakeholders.

Administering internal communications re policy and procedure changes.
Responsibilities for stocktaking & replenishing household supplies.

Completing property inventories on site.

Ability to research, source & collate information, using a variety of tools.
Carry out basic maintenance, such as PAT testing, and general redecoration.

Undertake other duties in line with the role as required.

What qualification or qualities are required?

No formal qualifications are required , however you should

-Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak on the phone and in person with a range of suppliers, tenants and staff.

-Excellent interpersonal skills.

-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

-Friendly, outgoing personality.

-Ability to work as part of a team & on their own.

-Accurate data entry skills.

-Organised & self motivated.

-Pro actively seeks new challenges.

-Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve.
