Body Repair Technician

Job overview

Learning both in the workplace and at a College/Private Training Provider you will work towards achieving a Level 3 Scottish Vocational Qualification in Vehicle Body Repair. This job is ideally suited for someone that would enjoy working in a practical hands on environment.

You will have to repair and replace damaged panels, bumpers and other exterior and interior trim to meet the vehicle manufacturers specifications, you will get to use specialised welding and vehicle chassis straightening equipment along with dent removal tools.

What will I learn?

With the training you will receive both in the workplace and off the job you will learn all of the skills that you require to become a fully qualified Body Repair Technician.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement

You will hopefully be working towards or have gained National 4/5 in Maths, English and a Technical Subject or a Science.
