ADM are now offering an exciting Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship role at the company's Edinburgh site. The position will be multi-skilled.

What will I learn?

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience by working closely alongside the electrical and mechanical maintenance team in order to improve the reliability of the site equipment. Some tasks that you will be responsible for are as follows:
Trained to safely maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment to a high standard in an industrial environment.
Electrical wiring .
Testing and installation.
Improve the reliability of the site equipment.
Apprenticeships are also a vehicle by which ADM will raise its skills base and a means of ‘downloading’ the skills and knowledge of existing members of staff, by having them act as mentors to the apprentices. During the program, you also learn the values and competencies important to ADM, with the aim that on completing the apprenticeship you are able to continue on a career path within the organization.

What qualification or qualities are required?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. We are looking for you to have four National 5’s (equivalent to GCSE’s) at grade C or above including English, Maths and a Science.
An additional two Highers would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to use initiative and strong desire to succeed.
