Job overview

Milton Bridge is a family run nursery that has been established for almost 30 years. You will be responsible for all aspects of care of children from babies to 5 year olds, in a nurturing and homely environment with the support of other experienced staff.

You will also get to enjoy spending time in the outdoors with the children as they learn and develop and work closely with others as part of a team. Ideally we are looking for someone who is motivated to learn and progress. You will receive 6 weeks annual leave per year and an annual bonus.

Hours will be variable between 32 and 36 hours over 4 days.

What will I learn?

You will work toward the practitioner qualification - Social Services (Children and Young People) SVQ 3 at SCQF Level 7 which will take approximately 18 months. You will be supported in the workplace to learn all aspects of the role and in addition, will attend off the job training workshops on a monthly basis.

What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement

National 5 English preferred.
This role would suit someone who has good communication skills, excellent time keeping and is reliable. It would also suit someone who has a caring and nurturing nature.
