This Graduate Apprenticeship has been developed to enable your employees to gain the skills, knowledge and understanding that industry needs. You can recruit new employees, up-skill or re-skill existing employees. There are four pathways to choose from: Business Management, Financial Services, Business Analysis and Project Management.
Please read the Occupation Profile for Project Management which gives a detailed description of the work situations routinely carried out in relevant roles at this level.
Candidates for Graduate Apprenticeships must be at least 16 years of age, and individual suitability for entry will be decided by an employer and their learning provider partner. As with most degree programmes, entry requirements are likely to vary across learning providers, and learning providers are expected to consider ways they can provide support to individuals who do not hold traditional entry qualifications but have nevertheless shown aptitude and competence at the necessary level.
As Graduate Apprentices are your employees, you will pay their salary. This is not set by SDS but we do encourage all employers to pay the living wage.
A GA at SCQF level 10 (honours degree level) will take up to four years to complete. A GA at SCQF level 8 or 9 (high apprenticeship) and SCQF level 11 (professional body qualification) will take up to two years to complete.
Some individuals may complete the GA in a shorter period of time because the format means they can attend university or college outwith traditional term times.
