Learning providers are educational institutions like colleges, universities and schools. They’ll help you find apprentices, deal with the funding for training and offer support to both employers and apprentices.
It’s up to them to organise and deliver the training involved in your chosen apprenticeship programme, and they must make sure the apprentice is properly registered on the scheme. It’s also their job to ensure the apprentice reaches the intended qualification.
You need to choose a learning provider who will train and asses your apprentices. There are hundreds of approved providers across Scotland including colleges, universities and private organisations. Each learning provider has different availability, costs and types of training. So, it's important to discuss what your business needs with multiple providers. We've got a question guide to help you get started in the discussions.
