We've worked with employers, colleges and universities in the industry to create this degree level qualification. Your employees will gain the skills, knowledge and understanding that the industry needs. You can recruit new employees, upskill or reskill existing employees.
The qualification
BSc (Hons) degree in IT: Management for Business (SCQF Level 10)
The key content areas which the Graduate Apprenticeship are designed to support:

- Business
- Personal and interpersonal skills
- Software project and delivery management
Entry requirements
These will vary by course and institution. For each Graduate Apprenticeship, vacancy advertisements provide specific information on the qualification required by the delivery institution. You can contact a university or college directly for guidance on entry requirements.
Progression and development
The following are examples of areas where an IT: Management for Business Graduate Apprentice could gain employment:
- IT consultancy
- IT system operation
- IT system management
- IT network planning and control
- IT project management
How much will it cost?
As Graduate Apprentices are your employees, you will pay their salary. This is not set by SDS but we do encourage all employees to pay the living wage.
For Graduate Apprentices starting in 2018 and 2019, we will fund their learning costs for the duration of the course.
Time to complete
A GA at SCQF level 10 (honours degree level) will take up to four years to complete. A GA at SCQF level 8 or 9 (high apprenticeship) and SCQF level 11 (professional body qualification) will take up to two years to complete.
Some individuals may complete the GA in a shorter period of time because the format means they can attend university or college outwith traditional term times.
