What will I learn?

A Graduate Apprenticeship is much more than getting a degree. Because it’s work-based, you’ll also gain a range of useful experience and skills such as:

  • a background in the business operations, procedures and culture of business IT
  • technical knowledge to play a key role in an IT environment
  • problem-solving and modelling skills suited to IT roles
  • management and business knowledge for a management role in IT projects
  • project delivery experience in a business environment

There are four key content areas which make up the IT: Management for Business Graduate Apprenticeship:

  • Business - 20-25%
  • Technology - 25-35%
  • Personal and interpersonal skills - 20-25%
  • Project and delivery management - 20-25%

This is a Graduate Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 10 (Honours degree level) and will take up to 4 years to complete.

You might complete the apprenticeship in a shorter time. That’s because you might have prior learning or experience that can be taken into consideration. This means you don’t have to repeat some parts of the qualification.
