You’ll gain a qualification in Enabling Clients to Access Career Development Services at SCQF level 7The qualification includes: 

  • Core units of an SVQ in career development at SCQF leve7
  • Work experience in a fast-paced industry

This Modern Apprenticeship gives you different options. Choose to continue your studies or go into the career development industry full time.   

Further study: You could choose to gain higher qualifications by progressing to an SCQF level 9 Technical Apprenticeship in career development. Go on to study for a degree in career development at university.

Entry requirements

Although there are no set entry requirements for this apprenticeship, it’s good to have an interest in the career development sector.  


The apprenticeship will take between 12-18 months to complete.
