What's the qualification?
You will gain a qualification at SCQF level 6 or 7 in engineering construction. Both qualifications include:
- Core units of an SVQ in engineering construction at SCQF level 6 and 7
- Work experience in a dynamic and fast-moving industry
What will I learn?
During your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:
- Mark out components for metalwork
- Cut and shape materials using thermal cutting equipment
- Form pipework by machine bending
- Produce pipe fabrications
- Weld materials with mechanised arc welding equipment
- Produce sheet metal assemblies
You will develop the following core skills:
