What's the qualification?

You will gain a qualification in glass production at SCQF level 5 or 6The qualifications include:  

  • Core units of aSVQ in glass production at SCQF level 5 or 6 
  • A work placement designed to give you experience in a versatile industry

What will I learn?

During your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:   

  • Promote and maintain health and safety in the glazing environment 
  • Lead the glazing work at glazing sites 
  • Resolve technical problems at glazing sites 
  • Cut glass for a variety of properties 
  • Apply window film to glass 
  • Cut glass from complex shapes 
  • Glaze structural glass installations   

You will develop the following core skills:
