What's the qualification?
You will gain a qualification at SCQF level 5 in hospitality. The qualification includes:
- Core units of an SVQ in hospitality at SCQF level 5
- Work experience in a dynamic and fast-moving industry
What will I learn?
As part of your work, you'll learn how to:
- Maintain health and safety in a hospitality environment
- Provide a food and beverage service
- Prepare and clear a bar area
- Serve alcoholic and soft drinks
- Maintain cellars and kegs
- Set up a specialist coffee station
- Clean drink dispense lines
- Receive, store and issue drink stock

Further education: Carry on your studies with a technical apprenticeship in hospitality. This could lead to a higher qualification like a bachelor’s degree in event management. Your experience will support your university application.
