We activate contracts for learning providers in April and you will already have a Skills Investment Adviser (SIA), from Skills Development Scotland alongside your contract executive.
The Contract Executive manages the delivery of the volumes and value of your contract. Your SIA guides you through important documents, employee roles and responsibilities and our policy and processes. During this time, you should familiarise yourself with some of the topics below to prepare for training delivery.
We have a range of helpful resources to support you in our marketing resources area. It includes the Modern Apprentice images, videos and social posts to help you promote apprenticeships to a range of candidates. There’s also challenge postcards to help you deal with any stereotypes potential employers could have.
If you want to know more about the equality statistics of your local area, have a look at our equalities summaries.
Read our Inclusive Recruitment Guides to make your training appealing to everyone. You can also check the Additional Support Needs guide on our corporate site to find out what support is available near you.
Work with your employers to advertise any of their Modern Apprenticeship positions on Apprenticeships.scot. It’s completely free and your vacancy will automatically be posted on Universal Jobmatch and My World of Work, too. Start by creating your account.
Read our how-to guides and watch our training videos about the Funding Information and Processing System (FIPS), so you know how to manage and claim payments. These resources show you how to use the system, enter a new MA start and claim progress and achievement payments.
Make sure your colleagues and your employers are aware of the responsibilities in the MA programme conditions. You could do this by running an induction or producing an information pack.
