There are a variety of jobs in the automotive industry. Help to repair a classic Jaguar as a vehicle service technician. Make a Ferrari stand out by becoming a paint technician. Work with specialist machinery as a MET technician.
This apprenticeship will teach you unique skills such as how to repair classic cars and fit specialist equipment. The knowledge you gain will help in your job search.
You’ll gain a Modern Apprenticeship in Automotive at SCQF Level 5, 6 or 7.

Your qualification includes:
Vehicle maintenance and repair at SCQF Level 5
Vehicle accident repair at SCQF Level 5
Vehicle parts at SCQF Level 5
Vehicle fitting at SCQF Level 5
Vehicle accident repair at SCQF Level 6
Vehicle parts at SCQF Level 6
Vehicle maintenance and repair at SCQF Level 7
As part of your work, you’ll learn how to:
inspect a car
repair the body of a vehicle
fit different parts
restore the paint of a vehicle
You’ll also develop the following core skills:

working with others
communication
problem-solving
These skills can be transferred to different roles, like heavy vehicle work or tyre fitting.
You have a range of options to explore with this Modern Apprenticeship. You could continue to study in a relevant automotive field or go into full time work.
Further education: Carry on your studies by progressing to a degree in automotive engineering. Your experience will support your university application.
Straight to work: Make the most of your qualifications and get a job in the automotive industry. You could go on to the following roles:
