What's Childhood Practice Technical like?

Make a difference in the life of a child by working in the social services industry. Studying for a technical apprenticeship in childhood practice gives you the chance to shape the future of the next generation of children.

This apprenticeship is ideal for people who want to improve their social care knowledge. Through ongoing training, you’ll learn how to improve children's wellbeing. You’ll also learn about family support and childcare, and be able to develop leadership skills within a residential environment.

An apprenticeship in childhood practice can fast track you to a management role. You could become a senior social worker in a care home or a family support officer. The knowledge you’ve gained could help you manage your own team in a social work setting, and help others in their careers.
