What's Dental Nursing like?
This Modern Apprenticeship helps your employees meet the standards required to be included on the register for Dental Care Practitioners. It’s suitable for dental nurses in any sector – such as general or community practices, hospitals, commercial organisations, education and training or the armed forces.
You will gain a Modern Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing at SCQF Level 7.

Your qualification includes:
SVQ in Dental Nursing at SCQF Level 7
During your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:
Carry out best health and safety practices
Improve your dental hygiene knowledge
Work with different dental tools
Educate people on dental hygiene
Create lasting relationships with your co-workers
You'll also develop the following core skills:

Team work
These transferrable skills are useful for working in other roles like dental practice management.
This Modern Apprenticeship gives you a number of options. Choose to continue your studies with a degree in dental hygiene or go on to a full-time job.
Further education: Carry on your studies with a BA in dental nursing. Your experience will support your university application.
