Electrical Installation
Modern Apprenticeship
What's Electrical Installation like?
Without electricity we’d have no way of using everyday devices. We’d have no television, no fridge and no way to charge our mobiles or tablets. Our lives would be very different to what we’re used to. This is why there’s a need for people with specialist knowledge in electrical installation. Studying for an apprenticeship in electrical installation can help you be part of one of Scotland’s most dynamic industries.
The apprenticeship offers the chance to learn a variety of skills. You’ll learn how to install and maintain electrical systems across a variety of sites, such as hospitals, stadiums and housing projects. You can get involved in the construction of control equipment and learn how to use it safely. You’ll also work with the latest technology, which includes advanced data-cabling and fibre optic systems.
The skills you learn during the apprenticeship can help you with a range of jobs. You could become a project manager and coordinate a new building site. Or you could design state-of-the-art equipment as an electronic engineer.
