A Facilities Management Modern Apprenticeship is ideal for anyone who wants to progress in the facilities management industry. You could become a facilities manager in a hospital and contribute to the wellbeing of patients. Or you might work as a stadium maintenance manager and create new ways to entertain visitors during big events.
The apprenticeship is designed to give you the leadership skills that can help you thrive in a management role.

You'll gain a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 7.
SVQ in Facilities Management at SCQF Level 7
What will I learn?
During your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:
establish and monitor the facilities required by the client
ensure health and safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility
support equality, diversity and individual rights in the workplace
lead facility management projects
create contingency plans for unforeseen disasters
manage a budget
monitor the efficient use of energy
You'll develop the following core skills:

numeracy
These transferable skills are useful for working in other roles, such as budget management and risk assessment.

This Modern Apprenticeship gives you a variety of options. Carry on your studies with a relevant facilities management degree or go into full-time work.
Further education: Continue to improve your skills by studying for a bachelor’s degree in facilities management. The Modern Apprenticeship qualification will support your university application.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this Modern Apprenticeship. Although, it's useful if you've completed a relevant qualification, such as the Facilities Services Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 5.
How does it work?
You’ll learn in a real-world environment and earn a wage. You’ll also study with a college or other learning provider.
How long will it take?
The Modern Apprenticeship will take between 12 and 24 months to complete
