The apprenticeship opens up a variety of jobs in the hospitality sector. Work in a restaurant and develop your own team of cooks as an executive chef. Become a bar manager and oversee the creation of new drink menus. Make sure guests are comfortable by applying your customer service knowledge as a hotel manager.
Hospitality Supervision and Leadership at SCQF Level 7
As part of your work, you'll learn how to:
Lead a team to improve customer service
Supervise food production operations
Supervise functions
Supervise food services
Manage the environmental impact of your work
Contribute to the selection of staff for activities
Ensure food safety practices are followed in the preparation and serving of food and drink

These transferrable skills are useful for working in other roles such as cleaning and hotel management.
This Modern Apprenticeship gives you a variety of options. Carry on your studies with a technical apprenticeship in hospitality management or go into full-time work.
Further education: Continue your studies by applying for a hospitality related bachelor’s degree. This could lead to a higher qualification like a Masters in event organisation. Your experience will support your application.
Straight to work: Utilise your qualifications to find a hospitality related job.After completing the apprenticeship, you could move onto jobs like:

There are no set requirements for the apprenticeship. But it is worth having an interest in the hospitality sector and a desire to progress.
How does it work?
You’ll learn in a real-world environment and earn a wage. You’ll also study with a college or another learning provider.
How long will it take?
This Modern Apprenticeship will take 12 to 24 months to complete.
