What's Social Services (Children and Young People) Technical like?

The sector covers health and wellbeing, psychiatry, family support and many other life-changing care roles. Transform a local teenager’s life as a youth worker.  During this course, you'll gain an understanding of the challenges that children and young people face. You’ll see how experienced care professionals handle difficult situations. However you wish to help children and young people, you’ll use this apprenticeship to equip yourself with the essential tools for a successful career.

Entry requirements

A modern apprenticeship at SCQF Level 7 in Social Services (Children and Young People) can qualify you for this course. Alternatively, you can obtain the necessary practical experience by undertaking a work placement in social services before applying for the course.

How does it work?

You’ll learn in a real-world environment and earn a wage. You’ll also study with a college or another learning provider. 

How long will it take?

This Technical Apprenticeship will take between 12 and 24 months to complete.
