Celebrating the benefits apprenticeships bring to businesses, individuals and the economy

Scottish Apprenticeship Week takes place from 2 – 6 March. Activities and events happen up and down the country to highlight the value and importance of apprenticeships.

Each year, apprenticeship opportunities grow as people and business recognise the benefits of work-based learning.

2019 Highlights


First Minister visit

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP was at Forth Valley College to launch Scotland’s Apprentice Network.

Foundation Apprenticeships in the news

Foundation Apprenticeships were featured on STV and BBC Radio Scotland with support from apprentice employer, McTaggart.


Graduate Apprenticeships

Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy and Fair Work Derek Mackay MSP announced more than 1,300 Graduate Apprenticeship opportunities in 2019/20.
