Apprentice Engagement Group

Scotland’s Apprentice Engagement Group inspires the next generation of talent by sharing experience, stories and skills. Join us and help others to get excited about apprenticeships.

What’s the Apprentice Engagement Group?

The Apprentice Engagement Group (AEG) is a network of current and recent apprentices who are passionate about promoting apprenticeships.

They engage with other apprentices, as well as employers, careers advisers and even the Scottish Parliament!

They shape the future of apprenticeships in Scotland by putting forward the voice of apprentices.

We’re always looking for new AEG members – would you like to join and help influence apprenticeships?

As someone who's always been more hands-on, I love showing others that university isn't the only way and that apprenticeships open doors you didn't even know were there.'

Why get involved?

There are lots of reasons to join the AEG. You’ll:

  • be part of a powerful network of apprentices, employers and business leaders

  • build skills, experience and confidence, for example in presenting

  • meet people from different backgrounds

  • influence policy and help shape the direction of apprenticeships

  • support others and promote diversity

  • highlight apprenticeships in your own industry

What does the AEG do?

The Apprentice Engagement Group has active members called Apprentice Ambassadors. Being involved means you could:
