Scottish Apprenticeship Week brings fantastic opportunities for school pupils. It's a chance for them to find out about work-based learning. They can see what it means to be part of the Skills Generation through apprenticeships.

Apprentice stories
Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprentices share their experiences of apprenticeships. Watch the diverse range of inspirational video stories and share with pupils, parents and carers.
Radio DJs interview apprentices
In this 16-minute video, apprentices from Scotland’s Apprentice Network chat to radio DJs Cassi and Garry. They say what it’s like to work, learn and earn on an apprenticeship. A careers adviser also gives information about apprenticeships.
Lesson plan on Scottish Apprenticeships
This lesson plan from My World of Work teacher resources gives useful information for pupils in S1 to S3 about apprenticeships.

We've created 2 useful PowerPoint presentations. The first explains Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships to pupils, parents and carers. The second has blank template slides with this year’s branding, to support your own events and activity.

In this webinar recording, parents explain how an apprenticeship benefited their child. A careers adviser highlights the help given to find an apprenticeship. A learning provider also explains how they support apprentices with additional needs to achieve. The video lasts about 1 hour.

DYW Live apprentice sessions
Daily, 4 to 8 March, online

Skills Development Scotland
Up to four 30-minute online sessions will run each day between 4 and 8 March, taking place at 9:45am, 10:45am, 11:45am and 1:45pm.
Understanding Scotland’s apprentices
Tuesday 5 March, 4:00pm to 5:00pm, Microsoft Teams
This webinar will brings you new research from Skills Development Scotland. Hear insight from thousands of Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprentices on their apprenticeship. You'll also find out what’s happened to those who have completed their apprenticeship. This ongoing work ensures that the apprentice voice remains at the heart of the system.
The webinar will help inform all those who advise, guide and support young people when making career decisions in school and post-school.
National Apprenticeship Show Scotland
Tuesday 5 March 10:00am to 2.30pm and Wednesday 6 March 10:00am to 2:00pm, Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow
Skills Development Scotland will be at this free event, which is open to all school pupils in Scotland.
Find out about Scottish Apprenticeships, where to find the latest vacancies and talk to someone to get advice on next steps to take an apprenticeship.
Lots of other employers will be there to talk about their apprenticeship opportunities.
The organiser offers a travel bursary scheme for students in S3, S4, S5 and S6 from schools and colleges on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the event website to register group visits.
