You'll gain a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 5 or Level 6.

Your qualification includes:
Retail Skills at SCQF Level 5
Retail (Management) at SCQF Level 6
During your apprenticeship, you'll learn how to:
deliver a high quality of customer service
lead a team of employees
organise retail operations, including staffing, record keeping and security
market retail products effectively to customers
handle customer queries, concerns and complaints
evaluate opportunities for improvement in business profitability
You'll also develop the following core skills:

These transferable skills are useful for working in a wide variety of industries related to retail, including manufacture, fashion, design and marketing.
Completing this Modern Apprenticeship gives you a range of options to further your career. Either continue to study to gain qualifications that could lead to a more senior role or use your current skills to enter employment immediately.
Further education: Continue to study and develop your retail skills with a Higher Qualification. Examples include Higher Level SVQs such as Management or a Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Retail Management.
Straight to work: Use your modern apprenticeship in Retail to secure a relevant job straight away and gain industry experience. Earning this modern apprenticeship qualification could lead to a jobs such as:

Entry requirements
There are no formal qualification requirements for entry onto this Modern Apprenticeship. It's useful - but not essential - to have previous work experience in retail.
How does it work?
You’ll learn in a real-world environment and earn a wage. You’ll also study with a college or another learning provider.
How long will it take?
This Modern Apprenticeship will take up to 18 months to complete.
