Develop your leadership skills to give you the confidence to manage your own team. Learn what it takes to manage an entire construction site and be a well-respected leader. Help to plan the development of a new school and decide what kind of material will be used.   

With this apprenticeship, you’ll learn the skills to help you progress to a managerial role in the construction industry. The skills you’ve learned could be passed on to other people and help grow their career.  

What's the qualification?

You’ll gain a qualification in construction at SCQF level 8, 9 or 11.   

For all the qualifications, you’ll study one of the following topics:   

  • Construction Site Management: Building and Civil Engineering 
  • Construction Site Management: Highways Maintenance 
  • Construction Site Management: Residential Development 
  • Construction Contracting Operations Management: Estimating 
  • Construction Contracting Operations Management: Quantity Surveying 
  • Construction Contracting Operations Management: Planning 
  • Construction Contracting Operations Management: General 
  • Built Environment Design Management

This Technical Apprenticeship gives you a range of optionsYou could further your studies with a relevant construction degree or progress to a management job.    

Further education: Choose to gain another qualification by studying for a degree in specialist construction. Your experience will support your university application.   

Straight to work: You could use your knowledge and become a construction site manager. The sector is versatile and there are many pathways available. Several job examples are listed below:
