What's the qualification?

You will gain a qualification at SCQF level 5 or 6 in information security. The qualification includes:  

  • Core units of aSVQ in information security at SCQF level 5 or level 6 
  • Work experience in a fast-paced industry that is dedicated to positive change

Further education: Increase your knowledge by studying for a bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science. Your experience will support your application.   

Straight to work: Use your qualifications to find a job in the information security industry. After completing the apprenticeship, you could move onto jobs like:

Entry requirements

There are no set requirements for the apprenticeship. However, it is worth having an interest in the information security field.  


This Modern Apprenticeship will take 12-24 months to complete.
