Rural industries including agriculture, gamekeeping and wildlife management, fisheries management and forestry, are very important to the economy of Scotland. This Technical Apprenticeship provides a chance to work alongside qualified, experienced colleagues carrying out real work with all of the issues that go along with this.

You’ll gain an SVQ in Rural and Land Use Management at SCQF Level 8.

What will I learn?

As part of your apprenticeship you’ll learn about Rural Land Use Management. Together with your employer, you’ll also select and learn 7 different Career Skills at SCQF Level 7.

You’ll also complete a minimum of two industry specific training courses appropriate to yourself and employer, and the industry you’re in.

Further Study: completion could lead to a suitable degree course, subject to acceptance by the University/College.

Entry Requirements

There are no set requirements for this apprenticeship. But it is useful to have an interest in land and the environment. 


This Modern Apprenticeship will take between 12-24 months to complete.
