Land-based pre-apprenticeship programme

The Land-based pre-apprenticeship programme will support individuals from 16 to 24 years old as they develop the skills they need to access a land-based apprenticeship.

It'll help participants to understand which area of land-based work they want to gain an apprenticeship in. It'll also allow them to discover what's required to succeed and the standards employers are looking for.

When individuals complete this pre-apprenticeship, they'll have a head start and a competitive edge for finding an apprenticeship job. The programme will include industry-specific qualifications, such as:

  • tractor driving test

  • field crop spraying

  • trailer towing
