Business Backing Talent

Get involved

We want all those with a shared interest in apprenticeships to back Scottish Apprenticeship Week.

This includes apprentices, businesses, industry, schools, colleges, universities, councils and learning providers.

Employers: can use the week to highlight how your business is backing talent; show the benefits apprenticeships bring to your business and to encourage others to give someone the chance of an apprenticeship.

Learning providerscould highlight your support for employers investing in apprenticeships; raise awareness of Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships and promote the work you do to make sure apprentices achieve their potential.

Individualscan share your apprenticeship story; highlight the benefits of businesses backing talent through apprenticeships and inspire others with what you have achieved thanks to your apprenticeship.

Three simple ways to get involved

You can support Scottish Apprenticeship Week by doing one or more of the following:

  • Download and use the campaign resources on

  • Use #ScotAppWeek21, #BusinessBackingTalent and #ThanksForTheChance to show your support for apprenticeships sharing photos, films and stories

  • Post your apprenticeship vacancies on

During the toughest of times, thousands of employers across Scotland are continuing to give young people a chance through apprenticeships.

This Scottish Apprenticeship Week, we’re asking employers, learning providers and apprentices to share their stories of who gave them a chance in the workplace.

By sharing our stories we can recognise the mentors, bosses and businesses that helped shape our careers and make us what we are today.

In doing so, we can inspire those who can create opportunities for young people who are facing the toughest of challenges.
